Bowed Walls

This type of foundation problem can be very alarming when you first come across it. They are seen as leaning walls in the basement, and this problem is often caused from hydrostatic pressure in the soil surrounding your home. Whenever you have a home that is built in clay-rich dirt, it's going to be incredibly absorbant whenever it rains or there's melting snow on the lawn. This moisture causes the dirt to swell up and it puts a lot of pressure on your basement walls. This pressure is known as hydrostatic pressure. The longer you wait to get this problem taken care of, the more likely it becomes that the wall will actually collapse in on itself! Also, a bowed wall can contribute to the development of wall cracks over time.

This wall anchor system comes with a 25 year transferable warranty. It makes use of proven engineering methods to stabilize and strengthen your failing basement wall(s). It doesn't matter what type of foundation you have - concrete, tile, or cinder block - this system will work with any material. The anchors can be installed quickly and they will be put deep in the earth in stable, load-bearing strata. After the anchor is in place, a plate will be attached inside of the basement on the damaged wall. Next, a metal rod will connect the plate to the anchor, and it can be tightened over time to provide the lateral pressure needed to push the tilting wall back up into an upright position. This is a far better alternative to wall replacement - which used to be the only solution to this common problem many years ago!
